Forums - Gaming - Well, I just beat Tales of Symphonia...

... And it was awesome!

Yup, after 50:15 I finally beat it, I gotta say it's an awesome game! All Gamecube owners should seriuosly buy it.

Now I'm thinking of buying the Dawn of the New World. Is it good, and worth it?

One more question...

Whats the new name of the Great Tree? Is it in DotnW?

Awesome. DotnW isn't for everyone, but I bet you will like it.

I think you never learn the name of the tree.

Awesome, glad you enjoyed it. =]

Dawn of the New World is definitely worth it. Go buy it! =D

The name of the new tree is Yggdrasill. It's mentioned in Tales of Phantasia.

What? Phantasia is related  to Symphonia?

wetcoaster is right. I would play Tales of Phantasia now if I were you, you can get it for the GBA. It is in some ways a little dated, but if you like RPG's you won't bother, and it shows you were the Tales series as a whole comes from and what happened in the ToS timeline since ToP is in the same, it is a sequel (or, to be correct, ToS is a prequel) playing thousand or more years after ToS.

Currently Playing: Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

Last Game beaten: The Rub Rabbits(DS)

Whoa, I need that now. I thought all the Tales games were non-relaed to eachother...

Oh right, ya Phantasia is the world 1000 years after Symphonia if they are related.

Before getting DotNW start a New Game+ and get the games entire titles and stuff.

Look at a faq to learn how to. That's what I do in those games, I play it the first time with no help then time to get all hidden things, and then 3rd playthough the fast leveling and pimp titles for massive stat growths.

Are you sure Soriku? I don't know whats the truth anymore. (You are correct)

To me both games are unrelated because they only have somethings in common.

Tales of Symphonia is mediocre. It's overshadowed on the Gamecube by the Dreamcast port Skies of Arcadia as well as on other consoles of its generation (notably the PS2) by dozens of games.

Tales of Symphonia 2 seems like more of the same only where Lloyd was tolerable (if dumb), the new main character (Emil) is... kind of spineless. I'm not far in yet so I can only hope it gets better.
