Well people can say what they want but people will buy the movie just for the demo. $E or whatever they have a franchise big enough for people to pay for a glorified demo ala GT5 Prologue. I know if this demo bundle comes to the NA and EU people will gobble it up.

From what I read, the demo is supposed to be a long one, something like 2 hours or so.

Looks like SE took some bad lessons from Sony. Although paying 40$ for a demo is far worse than paying the same price for a demo and a movie.

They are bundling the demo and the movie, that should give ps3 in japan a boost.

Even if it was a dirty business tactic, I have to say it's a good move by SE to charge for the demo, and a good move by sony bundling it like that.

Well if the demo is good enough i don't mind paying for it. This is not a new trend around here in portugal, at the last years of the psone and the early years of the ps2, the only way to get demos for those consoles was buying gaming magazines that overpriced the demo cd's/DvD's.
Although i have to agree with you all, S-E is becoming greedier and greedier every year, they seem to have forgotten their roots, but it's not the first time also that you have to pay for a FF game demo (Brave Fencer Musashi with FF8 demo or DQ8 with FFXII demo)

Guess they need to get their money from somewhere...

this isnt Uncommon.
you can buy the regular thing, or a Special edition, which costs more. I dont like it, but every second movie does the same... :P

but $€ really sucks the last months..
