I did not know that CoD4 had 11 millions sales on the 360.  That is pretty impressive.

On a side note, I do expect Halo 3 to have a sales increase for sometime around the release of ODST so it will make up for a few lost sales.

 Halo 3 = 8,887,320

CoD 4 = 6,885,158 on 360 and 3,927,537 on PS3 which is a total of 10,812,695.

CoD World at war is already at 4,120,691 on 360 and 2,448,740 on PS3 which is a total of 6,569,431.  Last week Halo 3 sold 97,116 versus World at War's 773,074.  At that rate World at War should pass Halo 3 in about 4 weeks.

With the means to easily check some facts, I'm amazed at how many people just throw out their misguided opinions when they must know someone's going to call their fanboy ass on it.

I don't know how PS3 owners buying COD 6 will effect ODST's sales, so please drop the 11 million sales. Halo 3 has a 2 million lead on the 360 version of COD4.

Mr. SnakeEyez does not believe that CoD is bigger than Halo. 10.8 million is bigger than 8.8 million. It is a sorry commentary on today's educational system that that needs to be explained.

1st of all. Stop comparing the sales of a multiplat title to an exclusive title. It makes no sense.

2nd: CoD Modern Warfare 2 will easily outsell Halo ODST. Don't forget, Halo ODST is "just" a big stand alone expansion.

I don't think it will be a problem since this is the ShooterBox~! we're talking about. ODST's toughest hurdle might be the fact that it's not a multiplayer focused game.

It isn't only about game sales etc...

Go ask a normal every day Joe that doesn't game. I would be willing to bet more people know what Halo is compared to COD. The add campaign was, and is the biggest advertisement I have ever seen for a game. Everyone was bombarded with it and everyone knew what it is.
