...Sony will dominate PlayStation players, that's all that matters!

If you play something else, Sony won't dominate YOU, so anyone who doesn't own a PS system shouldn't worry about it.

Three of them are ports from a prior console, three others are hyped games in new IPs that no one has played yet, and while Sonic inevitably sells, it remains to be seen if Sega still has a good game in them.

On the face of it, Sony has the better lineup, at least in that GT5, RE5 and GoW3 (if it makes it out this year) are new installments in widely acclaimed series (though, as always, there exists the chance that they will suck). I suppose Nintendo can counter with Monster Hunter and Punch Out, but I don't think those are the same pedigree.

gotta put that if it comes out in o9 on gt5 too, polyphone has made comments that seem like it still might not make it out by holiday 09

Most of the 2009 line up on games appeals only to certain people.  There are very few mass appeal games that are guaranteed to be a 2009 release.  There is no reason to believe anything other than GT5 will sell consoles, and that too wont help America sales.

drove Wii sales this year. ToS2 probably sold 20-50K consoles, and mad world will probably do the same, but its these games that are keeping the Wii up.

Sony should be able to pick up more traction this year in my opinion only thing for sure is if they don't then they are in major trouble because I see this as the last year the consumer might be able to be persuaded for this generation of consoles.

2) I have a Sony TV and BR player. Its not Sony I dislike but delusional Sony fanboys. Well, any delusional fanboy really, its just that the Sony strain has risen to dominance of late.
