Forums - Sales - Hope for Valkyria Chronicles?

Its doing pretty damn good, and that makes me happy, I got it for Christmas and its on my to do list.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Tell me what you think. Almost everyone (outside of Rei and coolestguyever) has really enjoyed it.

next to MGS4 and LBP the only PS3 exclusive I want on XBOX360- never played it, but it looks like a very good game.

Sega should bring a port to the 360....please.

The re-release in Japan , should see it reach 350-400k lifetime. Which is pretty decent for a new IP in what is considered by many to be a niche genre.

I don't think it'll do that much. I'm thinking 40-50k at most.

Or are you talking WW lifetime.

I think like Dallinor PS3 is on a roll in Japan with many good titles comming out in the next two months (Yakuza and Biohazard), so the upcomming anime paired with the budget title will definitely boost sales to a large extent.

@Rei

You're right the game's unbalanced...when you're on your second run through. As for the rest of your comment you're entitled to your opinion.

But it's still just a SRPG. The biggest The Best boost we've seen so far is the one from Yakuza Kenzan!

The idea that a port to 360 would somehow generate the missing sales is flawed. Sega developed this game for the 360 initially but changed to ps3 down the stretch. It seems M$ felt like this title wasn't worth the support.

Also, the game has outsold ToV, even being an SRPG, with the vast majority of sales from Japan so I don't see the 360 giving it any serious boost in sales #s

I was just about to say that.  I'm about a quarter way through my second run getting an A on every mission easily so far.  But on my first run through the game, I got an average of a borderline B/C.  And I tried not to restart missions just because I didn't do something perfectly, or something completely unexpected happened (like in mission 14) because that just spoils the fun of the game.

Sakura Taisen was also "just a SRPG" when it came out, but became very popular with the release of the anime... do you see a pattern here ? :)
