I use AACs but not accepting and playing MP3s in this day and age is stupid.

Funny. Some peopel dont even know what AAC is so how is playing .mp3 still stupid.

Im not NOT accepting them I think its stupid to not give the option for .mp3 which is still the most popular format. It should be able to handle both. If it cant than stick with the most popular which is still .mp3

I wasn't clear in that sentence. Let me rephrase:

Nintendo not giving the option of using MP3s in their devices in favor of using only AAC is stupid.

agreed, ditching mp3 is STUPID! its even more stupider then not giving us DVD play back! I use mp3, more importantly, because nintendo fails to suport my media of choice I use my 360 if I want to play music through my TV or with games.

You know what's so cool about the 360, you can play mp3s in the background of your games! I love that feature, it means the game doesnt have to suport custom sound tracks, you can just force it to!!!

Mini Rant: (Stupid Apple and their damn iTunes has infuenced Nintendo to update Photo Channel to only support .aac and same goes with their DSi.)

I dunno why certain companies are switching formats. Overall I still think .mp3 is the superior and most used audio format as apposed to .aac or .wma and so on.

Question - Ive got a Wii with Photo Channel 1.1 does anyone where I can get a .WAD to downgrade to 1.0 I bought mines in April it was alrady pre-loaded and I cant downgrade like others.=(

 

 

You can think mp3 is a better format all you want, that wont make it true.

 

That said, I use mp3 simply because the benefits of aac aren't all that huge. So I use 320 kbits/s mp3
