SNES- BIG WINNER.
Why? Because of the games. It does not only feature some of the best QUALITY titles ever (Super Metroid and A Link to the Past), it also has QUANTITY. A lot of great titles in every possible genre. A knowbrainer for me.

Ps, Though in a way one could argue that Wii is the alltime best since it features SNES games along with NES,N64,MD,MS,C64 among others at VC and is compatible with Game Cube. That is unbeatable in the gamesdepartment!

My 60 gig PS3! This is just one awesome piece of hardware and the games just keep getting better and better.

A close 2nd goes to the ps2, unmatched library

And 3rd goes to the SNES. My opinion the best nintendo console. and yes I do have a Wii.

Sega megadrive.

I was gaming well before the Megadrive came out, (you know, on atari VCS & my Green screen Amatrad cpc 464) But the almighty megadrive was the 1st console that got me truly hooked on gaming, i'll never forget the days when myself and a group of buddies would all pile in to one mates bedroom and we would all sit there waiting in anticipation for our go on the console (with a beer in our hands to keep us occupied whilst we waited of course )

We would play all the multiplayer games like Street fighter 2 championship edition, Mortal kombat 1 & 2, Micro machines (multplayer heaven back then) Fifa 94/ 95 / 96, etarnal champions, Streets of rage 1,2,3.

Anyway, its due to the very fond memories that i have of my megadrive that keeps it as my all time fave console (Although the 360 is starting to gain ground)

Reasons i loved my Megadrive................

Sonic 1, 2 ,3 & Knuckles

Streets of rage 1,2 & 3

Outrun

Castle of illusion starring micky mouse

Golden axe

Road rash

Altered beast

Toejam and earl

Mortal kombat 1,2 & 3 (during the height of mortal kombats popularity)

Street fighter championship edition and Super street fighter 2

Comix zone

Shinobi III: Return of the ninja master & Revernge of shinobi

and many many more.......................

I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt the same way because the games had become all serious and shit. Looked great -less fun. It was definately the Wii that put the FUN back into gaming ... but you have to open and willing to change. If you've just got it in your head that God handed Moses an analog game controller on the mount and everything else is heresy - or - it's more important to make fun of something than try it; then you may as well accept that it will only be downhill until you finally give up.
