Forums - Sales - Will MadWorld reach 1 million worldwide sales?

I don't think the game would be a huge seller on the XBox 360 or PS3 either to be honest. 

The violence is so far over the top that it does trend the game into more of a niche/cult territory. 

Good luck to Platinum Games though and hopefully they can find some market traction for this title. I'll certainly give it a shot.

Well I disagree. If a game were most players favorite move is the ability is to chainsaw someone in half, dismembering them with blood covering the screen, and guts thrown across the map. I think the audience would be more than happy to welcome a overly violent game. Not to mention the success of every sanbox game this generation.

If a gimped COD:WaW Wii can sell over 500,000 + (please check to confirm) why can't Madworld do 1 mill.

I mean, before COD:WaW was released there were lots of negatives and many people admitted they won't buy it.

Not long ago it was wii fit won't sell a million, wii music won't sell a million, etc,

I understand the two mentioned were nintendo games (therefore they were destined to suceed) but at the time no one knew that for sure and many said both games would probably flop.

I will stick my neck out and say Madworld will sell over a million.

I expect over 1 million now..

I think that Sega will push it hard and its one of those titles that'll get school kids talking so yeah 1 million..

If I don't see the advertising I expect then I withhold my right to revoke my statement :P
