Ok, 1st, Final Fantasy will not be released in the West before 2010 (being very very optimistic Nov 2009), by that time we don't know how the market has been splitted, we obviously know Japan (SO4 won't change things there), but in the US and Others the PS3 is still without a shot in selling a JRPG... So i prefer to wait and see which is the best JRPG seller in the West...

My prediction is that without looking at future JRPG sales, the PS3 has the advantage because of Europe, Advent Children/FFXIIIDemo and VersusXIII, anyway the winner won't see a huge difference in sales in the West (Japan will put the big difference because of the PS3 exclusivity)...

FFXIII will sell better on the 360 easily if the 360 still has a 8m lead or more worldwide. If the numbers are closer, it will be much harder to determine.



How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I'd say it will sell slightly less on ps3 than on x360 in west but combined worldwide sales will be higher on PS3 due to Japan.

360. LO did over 500k in America so FF should do at least a million.

Well GTA has been on every PS console and for the 8m extra Xboxes out there, only one million extra sales, so that seems like a good yardstick. Pehaps in the West the Xbox would be a hair in front, and world wide (inc japan) PS3 may have a lead of a couple of million.

Easily on Ps3.Now if Halo 3 would come to Ps3,would it sell so huge?No.

ps3 for sure. no doubt. even GTA, where it sells heavily in america and with the 360's lead worldwide, the ps3 version managed to stay close, so with final fantasy its a no brainer.

PS3.

1) PlayStation has been the home of Final Fantasy for what, 13 years now?

2) By the time FF13 is released in the West, the PS3 will have a larger install base than the 360 in Europe. It's worth noting that GTA4 on PS3 outsold the 360 version in Others despite having a smaller install base. Because it's a PS series.

3) The 360 version will probably sell better in NA, but not by very much. The 360 will still be leading in America when FF13 is released in the West, but it shouldn't be by more than 4-5 million. JRPGs so far haven't sold well at all in NA, but then none of them have been Final Fantasy.
