I'm not sure, but I think VGC is counting it as 2009 sales.

^ NA and EU 4 of 7 days were in '08

Japan most of the sales would be in the three days before new years considering the gifts they give onthe 1st.

11 of 21 days worth of sales are in 2008 with great majority of sales being in those 11 days.

The week starts in 2008.

My logic says the first week that starts in 2009 gets compared to the first week that started in 2008. So 10th compared to the 12th.
