Yes. They do track them. But if I'm not mistaken it was a limited quantity bundle and only a hundred thousand or two were made. So I don't think it would make much of a change.

They shipped that amount. A lot of stores have huge stocks of MGS4. In japan, because of overstock, it's already in the bargain bin.
YES its tracked look at GTp sales in Europe they rose out of no where because the game was bundled. Same goes for 360 and kung fo panda there no way a panda game would like that without it being bundled.

Yes, it's counting bundles. 600k copies on store shelves is a fair bit, but that's probably just VGC error, not discounting bundles.
