I will agree that L4D is a great game, but why do you need to bring up PS3 exclusives to make your point?  You stated that L4D is better than Resistance 2 and I cannot argue your opinion.  I have played both R2's coop and L4D and my opinion is they are equally fun and innovative.  Judging by this new standard that reviewers are using, R2 would be in the low 90's if it was just released as an 8 player coop.  The fact that it included 60 player mp and a 10 hour single player campaign just brought the score down.

To the OP: You spent 95% of your post trolling the PS3, is this how you hype 360 exclusives?

Theres various forms of trolling, if this is whats considered trolling then ps3 fanboys when they mention that the ps3 has the best line up of 09 when we are only in january and they say 360 has no games should also be considered trolls.... right?

now on to business,

too human was hyped but when xbox gamers saw the footage of the game months before released there was no more hype, haze on the other hand was hyped down to the day of release.

Sonyboys hype EVERY exclusive ps3 game, Resistance, LAIR (LOL), heavenly sword, HAZE, all of those games were average at best, the only good ones I see is motorstorm, uncharted: drakes fortune and metal gear solid 4, thats it.

yes little big planet is innovative, but so what? the game is just cool, not great.

So the only one that was major disappointment was too human WOW, one game, while halo 3 (multiplayer only, main campain was dissappointing), gears of war, gears of war 2, Lost odyssey, Ninja Gaiden 2, were all great games.

He's right about one thing. Sony fans overhype their games to hell and they pay for it, as do their games. See LBP, and every other PS3 exclusive.

Now Mass Effect 2 hasn't even been announced officially has it? Can it make this year?, if it does it probly won't be until late. Here's hoping that it makes it out in '09.

And as for APB , I am not sure if Microsoft exclusivity has been officially confirmed, has it? Either way, I am sure Microsoft realizes that they need this one. This game looks great, and I really have the feeling that Microsoft will market the hell out of this game when the dev's are ready for them to.

But its pretty weak overall. I think Microsoft should hype these games now, so potential fans don't look to the future and only see Sony's great lineup. They should see Microsoft's as well. I know that is the point of this thread though, so kudos.

 

Microsot is the king of marketing , they dont need any help hyping their games.

This position was exactly like the end of last year and look what happened.

Now on to 2009

People are saying 2009 will not be as big as 2008 my opinion HECK NO!

2009 is going to destroy 2008 in my opinion, we will have to wait and see though!

I think people are looking at exclusives and are being dissappointed but even on the exclusive front things are going to be the best yet.

But first let me cover multiplatform games first:


1. RESIDENT EVIL 5 = did you see the graphics on this badboy
2. STREET FIGHTER 4 = Street fighter is back nuff said.
3. BIONIC COMMANDO = the coolest game I have seen this gen, plus the action looks insane, and the gameplay looks like its going to be lots of fun.
4. TEKKEN 6 = My favorite fighting franchise since tekken 4, in my opinion solid fighting game and maximum fun to boot.
5. TOM CLANCY'S HAWKS = UBISOFT rarely disappoints, IF you like flying games this is the one to watch for.
6. RED FACTION: GUERRILLA = It doesnt matter what the story will be like this game looks awesome.
7. BIOSHOCK 2 = NUFF SAID
8. FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4 = Boxing Fans rejoice.
9. DARKSIDERS: WRATH OF WAR = This Game looks great and the action looks vicious.
10. FINAL FANTASY 13 = Hopefully this year, rpg goodness.

Now after looking at this list how can someone say 2009 wont top 2008,

and these are just the games we know about, guys this year is going to be awesome, start saving because your wallet is going to cry again, and so will you when you realize you won't be able to afford all this awesomeness, hehe.

Yup, as the 360's incredible games attach rate shows, people buy games without the need for hype on 360, but hype can't hurt, can it.
