I've played 7/10 (I actually played the preschool one; we got it for my younger brother). Mario taught me typing, numbers, and shapes!

I enjoyed Super Mario Bros. 2 as well... It's the only one that really doesn't deserve to be on that list. Also where was Miyamoto when some of that crap was being made (I don't mean the PC games but the stuff from Nintendo itself).

He's only accredited with the good decisions of Nintendo, that's the only way the whole god on earth Miyamoto myth can work :)

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

why the hate against smb2 US? It is a great game!

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

When you consider that most of the games on that list were either

A) childrens educational titles

B) Not made by Nintendo (including the #1 game Hotel Mario)

or C) Actually a lot of fun: Mario 2 and Mario tennis.

Then I really don't see this "Miyamoto myth" you speak of.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I actually think he deserves that myth. He alone saved Nintendo who have now been around for ages, he is the only person in gaming ever to have had an influence that big.

Also two of his characters are perhaps the most famous of any video game characters ever - Link and Mario.

Oh and look here.

You will find very few bad games, if any.

Dude...they're not copycats....they've been doing top ten lists about videogames for a long time now...

I enjoyed Mario Bros 2 as well...though I understand their disdain for it...

did you play the real Mario Bros 2? that game is awesome but insanely hard like they said. Truly I played the US mario 2 and Doki Doki, Doki Doki is better then the US Mario 2 because it actually makes more sense.

@Desroko- its a different game with Mario copy and pasted over it. Its wasnt designed to be a mario game making it not a real mario game.

Despitw the fact they are the same game in almost every concivable way.

i like mario bros 2, on super mario all stars, but yea i remember playing mario teaches typing, horrible!!!! but good video i never realized like 3/4 of those games even existed.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Okay, I can't watch the video for various reasons right now, but I agree with Stof when he says Mario Tennis (I assume 64 version? thats the only one i have played) does not deserve to be on that list at all.

I bought that game when I was first released. Me and all my friends would often (read: 2-3 times per month) accidentally stay up all night playing that game. Like, we wouldn't mean to, we just would. And then we'd have to go to school the next day and be out of it because we had just spent 10 hours playing Mario Tennis all night. Even now (as in right now, before I logged onto vgcharts) I was playing it with a friend of mine.

My high school swim team had a season-long tournament in Mario Tennis. While that was during the Gamecube years, that STILL means that a bunch of high school kids were pulling out the N64 from the closet for the sole purpose of playing mario tennis.

Obsessive? Maybe. In fact, definitely. But eventually I will have all the star trophies. And we'll see who is laughing then,

Please, PLEASE do NOT feed the trolls.

Let me clarify: They're not copying video game top tens, they're copying TV top tens. The kind of drek they play on stations that used to air music videos. Or entertainment networks. "Top Ten Music Videos of the 80s," and "Top Ten Stoner Movies."

The formula is the same. Pick 10 appropriate titles. Get 30 seconds of footage from each one, maybe a couple stills. Arrange them in some kind of hierarchy. Then get some soulless, plastic-faced host to read 'witty' commentary off the cue cards you wrote up the previous afternoon. Insert ads and tah-dah! You have a half-hour of shallow, incredibly cheap cable TV programming.

Programming like this is why there are hundreds of channels and nothing is on. Changing the subject from 80s music videos to video games and replacing the dumb blonde with a couple of gamers doesn't redeem this hideous formula.

I'll stop raining on the parade, now.
