You are right, the mario pic is not the best one. ITs a valid comparison tho. Mario Galaxy is the best looking Wii game Ive played.

@The_vagabond7: I'm trying to understand how these screenshots are getting made... Gamespot has the exact same one looking better and at 720p:

I'm not doubting your screenshot is legit, just wondering exactly what's happening here...

 The date on that screenshot is 2005. How would they make a ngb screenshot in 2005 at 720p? using a PC build maybe?

The Wii has already been proven stronger then the Xbox... now I'm just waiting for someone to post links to the articles researching these findings as I'm not going through the work for a repeat thread like this one lol...

The Xbox 360 was launched in late 2005 wasn't it? However it says "20050729" so wtf... I can't imagine Gamespot having a PC build of this as the game never launched for PC.

Did you read my comment? I specifically stated the game could be used, just a better picture and more comparable situation.

@disolitude: Those NGB screenshots are very good (although they look more similar in quality to the 720p ones which I'm finding unnerving since I can't explain it properly).

Ninja Gaiden Black and SMG seem to be the best games graphically on each console, but it's hard to compare a cartoony game with a more realistic game (I know fighting dragons isn't very realistic, but you get my point). I would hope the Wii can do NGB like graphics at the hands of a great development team like Team Ninja.

NGB certainly has awesome shader effects which aren't common on the Wii, on top of very good textures especially for the time.

Just shows you that even last gen graphics is a money issue with developers. That is why developers are cautious with developing new games on PS3/xbox 360. Small developers like Free Radical could get screwed much more easier with a graphical game like Haze (I think it sold well but selling well isn't enough for every game these days).

Edit: Those do seem like good Mario screenshots but Mario is cartoony while Ninja Gaiden is suppose to be real life graphics. Still there isn't much difference from the two games- graphically, wonder if the next Mario will look even better coming later in the Wii's life.
