Yeah, I'm actually a 95% Nintendo owner, I've never owned any other console, and only 5 PC games (but they total in a lot of time though)

I agree that people way too often call others biased. The last 2 weeks I've

Been called a Wii hater 5 times

Been called a Wii fanboy (pro Wii) 5 times or so

Called a Ps3 hater 7 times (I think)

Called a Ps3 lover 5 times (to my own big surprise)

Called a X360 hater twice

Called a X360 lover something around 7 times (normally by the same people who call be a Ps3 hater)

 

But that's actually kind of nice. I piss everyone off equally oftenly :D (which means I'm not really biased?)

 

 

 

i have been called a PS3 fanboy, MS Fanboy, Haloboy, Wii Fanboy, John McCain fanboy and that I look like Barack Obama (that was weird... thus the reason I changed my avatar... lol)

Also just because you like Nintendo does not mean you have dislike towards particular games. I have heard many nintendo gamers on this board mention dislike for WiiMusic, AC, and MK (I never understand the MK bashing... imo it is the best MK yet.)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

(I never understand the MK bashing... imo it is the best MK yet.)

When MK Wii came out, lots of reviewers who apparently can't play the game properly bashed it for being "dumbed down"... This game is very underrated by reviewers, fortunately the Wii's audience doesn't care that much about reviews.

Of course the Wii bashers never played the game, so they assume the reviewers are right.

But he's not going to make an absurd prediction that goes entirely against software sales trends and basic logic. Like the OP did. While the OP is pointing out an interesting fact, the fact is, it's impossible for the games to sell that much in so little time. That's what Oyvoyvoyv was saying, and he was the one attacked - not the OP, so frankly, it's ridiculous to defend the OP.

 I said I just threw it out there. I could less about the prediction, I was just annoyed he got on the OP for making the topic "the 3rd time in 3 months"   which if it is only once a month, I mean is that even worth pointing out?

I almost made a bet with long-absent user PeterPotamus that GT5 would not outsell Mario Kart Wii by 4 million. I wasn't quite able to work out the terms with him, unfortunately.

Looks like the bet would have been more interesting if it was whether MKW would outsell GT5 by 4 million.

More interesting yes, but still not very interesting considering that MK Wii is outselling the PS3 itself ;)

GT5 would have to have a huge attach rate to even come close.

Mario kart DS wont, however I would say one month for mariokart wii, it still has decent legs.

 I thought you found it kind of humorous (heck, you do it to me all the time), but if you feel it gets a bit personal, I'll stop doing it. I'll warn you though, if you tell me to stop, I'll stop completely.

Well, that's a fair amount. 3 threads on the exactly same topic. When there's also a dozen of other threads about MKWii, it stacks up a lot.

Hey Oyvoyvoyv, what do you think are the chances of Mario Kart Wii outselling Starcraft 2 (assuming that launches) this year? I made a bet but my frame of reference is flimsy at best.

I'd say that has to be pretty certain...

I believe no PC game has ever sold more than 5M in one year (I may be wrong), and I'm certain none have made 10M in one year.

Starcraft 2 is likely to be very big, but if it launches in Q4 (which is the only real option, right? It probably won't exceed 5M. Definitely won't come close to MKWii.

As a general note, I think you could say the biggest PC games are now on-size with the big X360 games. (Don't put too much into that).
