Forums - Nintendo - Problem With GH: WT Wii (Hardware issue)

Ok, so I bought the game saturday.. it is my first GH game ever okay, well today I notice o could not seem to hit any of the notes (I still am only good enough to play medium... but I am not get 4 and 5 stars on medium!!)

My first reaction was man I suck, but then in the menu I notice that I would have to the strum bar 2-3 sometimes to get it to move... Well obviously if strum bare is defective... It KINDA hurts my ability to play the game... so what do I do???

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

i would be getting in touch with Activision ASAP and reporting it. you could use the touch pad on the neck to strum in the mean time but i never had much luck with that method.

will Gamestop let me exchange it? I still have my reciept.

*ahem*

On topic: The same thing happened to me first, but you just have to strum a little bit higher instead of just "sliding" your fingers. Also, try to detach and reattach the neck of the guitar, it used to happen with my Les Paul on GH3.

Wireless guitar controllers FTL! :(

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

ok, I am still hopeful... the clicking sound is still there and all.... and it works if you strum up (right handed, just not down)

I assume you tried to detach and reattach the guitar neck like SHMUP recommended? That's solved everyone else's problems so far. For added measure, turn off your Wii when you do this.  Also, check your Wiimote's battery life (when it's dying, it often stops registering at random).

I took it off, the wii was still on... but the strum was working... just not the down strum (which is all I use... yes I am a noob) was not. thankfully walmart will let you exchage anything... I basically just walked in there said it was not working and they got me  new one... I did not even have to lie... she just assumed I did not have a reciept and traded it out. So now I have a new one : ).

Sorry I couldn't help you more, but all's well that ends well, I suppose.

Yes, of course they will. It's defective, so you will be given a new one. You have nothing to worry about, barring they don't have another in stock, in which case you will have to wait, or go to another store.
