For me, it all depends on Reviews. Marketing would be nice, but without good reviews it's gonna do more bad to sony then good. We can't have another Haze. Check the Link for possible review notes

if the game supports mouse+keyboard I might consider buying it. however regarding KZ2 reaching MSG4 in sales.. unless its word of mouth is insanely stellar they're simply dreaming. MSG4 is an awesome game and has a good fanbase, KZ doesn't and without word of mouth claiming that its must own, yeah.

considering the price of the ps3 is still high, I doubt many people will buy the console for it either.

I doubt it will outsell MGS4.. Metal Gear is a popular and well-established franchise while KillZone is not. I predict 700k LT for KillZone 2.

I have a really bad feeling about the sales of this game. Apart from the forums theres no hype for it. Same as LBP. LBP was massively hyped on the net, but street level compared to what forums said sales would be it was completely opposite.

I think KZ2 will be lucky to get 2.5 mill lifetime. If bundled hopefully 3 mill.

I wont rule it out, MGS has not seem exactly mind boggling sales, solid, but for the dev cost reviews and hype... solid.

I could see Killzone doing better, but it had better be a heckava lock better than Resistance 2 (since we know that underpreformed)

Also the Febuary launch will help it a bit, really no other games to overshadow it. Kinda like last year... If DMC4 has launch in Nov it would have gotten SWALLOWED by Cod4 and AC.

I think it can make 3 mil ltd at least, if it turns out to be one of those revolutionary type games.... it will move PS3's and sell 5 million (but I will not predict that it is, I will leave that to all of those who like predicting all of the PS3 saviors)

OT : Killzone should have a decent opening , but will be a leggy game.

The game releases in 2 months.  Should Sony start with the TV advertisements now?  The hype within the gaming community was huge for this title and Sony was correct in letting it die down a bit.  I suspect Sony will raise awareness when the title gets closer to release.

Regarding LBP, did any other side scrolling 2D platformer sell over 1.5 million copies in 2008?  Does anyone still argue that LBP was a flop?  To put it in perspective, LBP outsold it's nearest competitor by 1 million copies.
