Very cool. I've never played Pikmin (I know, shame on me) but now would be a good time to start. I'll be picking that up for sure.

As for Mario Power Tennis, I'll have to see how it controls because in another thread someone said that you don't use the nunchuk and you can't control positioning on the court, so, we'll see about that one.

Edit: Just saw that there may be an additional nunchuk control. If that's true, I'll definitely be getting it.

I'll be getting Mario Power Tennis. One of the few Gamecube games I don't own.

I wonder if they'll make a new Super Mario Sunshine with new play control. I hated the way the water cannon worked. If they map that to IR control then I will probably have to consider getting it.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Since I traded in my Pikmin 2, I hope it is re-released soon.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I'm considering Mario Power Tennis. I've been buying way to many games though, so I'll leave it up to my wife if she wants to get this. We used to play it all the time on the GC.

Can anyone confirm the control methods yet for Mario Power Tennis?

IGN says it supports the nunchuck, and we have seen videos with Wii Remote only.

So I'm guessing it controls like Wii Sports with Wii Remote only, and with the nunchuck it will be like the GC version with motion control for power, placement, spin, lobshots.

It was confirmed to be getting the same treatment. I'm guessing to help in part build excitement for Pikmin 3 for when it comes out.

That boxart is hideous though. =P

There are two control styles for MPT.One is a more advanced Wii Sports style, with more precision in the motion detection. The other allows you to connect a Nunchuk to move your character around.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Do you have a source for that? The reason I ask is that I've not yet found a definitive source stating the functionality for which the nunchuk will be used, although Amazon and others confirm at least that the nunchuk will be somehow supported and IGN predicts that it will likely allow character movement. See the Mario Power Tennis GC thread.
