I recall the PS2 launched in Portugal for 500 - 550 € (100,000-110,000 escudos, the previous currency). I found some online forums saying the Xbox launched here for the same price but I can't confirm that.

I don't know about other consoles though. Do you have any sources or memories about this?

only about the Ps2, When I got it from my parents they left the price on it was 1200 gulden, that's about 500-550 euros.

for Norway:
N64 and Gamecube: 2195 NOK
Wii: 2595 NOK
PS2: 4499 NOK(although some stores sold it for twice that, because they could)
PS3: 5999 NOK

NJ5 here in portugal the original XBOX launched for 500 euros as well as the PS2 (except in few places like toys 'r us which had a 5% discount to all pre-orders of the ps2). The gamecube launched at about 350 euros (70 mil escudos)

I bought it the first christmas in Europe for 8000 BEF.

The Netherlands if I remember correctly:
ps2: 1299 gulden = around 550 euro
Gamecube: 249 euro

By the way, it would also be nice to know about price drops if you remember those... I remember PS2s sold out at launch because a friend of mine had a hard time finding one, but I don't know how fast they had to drop prices after that.

one of the major price drop (i think it was the second actually) for the ps2 here in portugal was from 400 to 300 euros three months before FFX was released. Xbox i really don't know, but the GC had a price drop of 100 euros at the launch of WindWaker on Fnac and Toys 'r Us

I bought the Sega Saturn for 850DM at launch here in Germany, which is ~435€.

can't remember what I payed for the Dreamcast which I bought at launch aswell...
