97% of sonys best games are from 2ND or 3RD party developers......................

So what does that tell you?

BINGO....... they bought their way to the top

Segas 1st party games own sonys 1st party games all day, all week, all year and forever.

Bottom line____________________________

 

As an owner of many Sega and Sony consoles I can say that Sony's first party development is in the same league as Sega's. If it were not, I wouldn't own and enjoy games like God of War, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Syphon Filter, Patapon and Loco Roco.

 

Come on dude, lets be realistic here , the only real top game from that list is God of war, and its up against.............

All sonic games (yes, some not so good , but many are Legendary)

Streets of rage 1,2, & 3

Shenmue 1 & 2

REZ

Crazy taxi 1,2 & 3

Fighting vi[pers 1 & 2

House of the dead 1,2 3 & 4

Confidential mission

Panzer dragoon, zwie ect

im not sony so i have no clue. but it still does not change the fact that more than half of sega owned games are crap. and there best games belong in the arcades.

No I really do hate Sony.  There was a thread about why you hate Sony a while back.  I will try and dig up what I posted.  But I don't what the business to collapse as it would mean many people losing their jobs.

Yes, Sega used to be an amazing video games company. But as a Microsoft fan, all your arguments are hypocritical.

Ronster316 was critical of Sony for buying second party studios and not actually developing the games themselves so listing Vectorman came accross as hypocritical.

@You can post massive lists of software all you want, I'm already aware of Sega's game development. Even if you don't consider the fact that Sega had much more time in the industry than Sony their highest calibur games hardly dwarf those of Sony. As I already said, it comes down to Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, Panzer Dragoon Saga and Crush.

 

PS. How could you miss so many of Sega's best games in trying to argue that they had vastly superior 1st party game development (which you will not convince me of)?

I hate Sony because:

1. I bought a Sony CD player that became useless as soon as the warranty was over.

2. I bought a Sony walkman that didn't last very long at all.

3. I love Nintendo and Sony caused Nintendo to lose all the quality 3rd party games that could have been on N64 and Gamecube and as a student at the time I could only afford only one console and even if I could afford 2 I wouldn't have bought a Playstation because I hate Sony.

4. I'm tired of seeing Sony Playstation shoved in my face everytime I try to watch Champions League football.

5. they lie to people about the capabilities of their products and are full of unfulfilled promises. If you believe what Sony reps say PS2 was the most powerful console last gen.

6. of the stupid things their executives say such as people would get two jobs to buy PS3, DS is nothing a gimmick for pokemon players, DS userbase is 12 yrs and under, etc.

7. I wanted to watch my HD movies on HD DVD which offered me amazing hardware with complete technology at amazingly affordable prices but Sony deprived me of that choice by trojan horsing blu ray into PS3.

8. they always try to force their format on people such as Sony pro stick when everyone else is using cheaper SD cards

9. of the ridiculous things some Sony fanboys on this site spit out.

Microsoft are capable of doing to sony what sony did to Sega........... you know........ Eliminate them.......... Hence Microsoft have my full support.

Bottom line is this..............................

90% of the best games on the Master system, Megadrive/Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast were made by Sega

On the flipside

97% of the best games on the ps1, ps2 and ps3 were made by 2ND and 3RD party developers.

So that sums it up for me.

Gaming talent " in house" made Sega LEGENDARY

2ND and 3RD party support made sony what they are today.
