You can try something from Black Library. I love the Warhammer novels.

Yes...and no.
The thing about Palahniuk's book is that they're less about the plot and more about satirizing modern society. The humor of his absurdist plots is how close they actually come to the truth.
I'd like to see someone do some work on his canon. Every book I have read of his involves someone doing major damage to their mouth or face in such a way that makes them lose their identity. I think Palahniuk must think we're all victims of society and that the only way to become human and self-aware is to return to being an animal and a savage. It's an interesting idea....but I wonder if he would ever practice what he preaches.

meh...the movies are better than the books....and I don't ever say that.
Any book by Dean koonts are usually good. They are not really fantasy books more like mysteries and paranormal.
Try the snapper by Roddy Doyle fu***ng hilarious book.
Irish author but I reckon the humour goes across the board.
I would recommend The Outsiders by S.E. Hilton. The story is amazing and the movie is great.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
The Dark Tower by Stephen King....you'll take a long time to read all 7 books of this saga.
