Forums - Gaming - I got Boogie as a birthday gift. What should I do with it?

jheco05 said:

To my shock, of all the Wii games that I thought of buying or owning, I got the Boogie from EA as a birthday gift. I got this from 10 yrs old nephew who is a certified Nintendo fan.

I can say that I am a RPG player and would definitely not like this Boogie game. I can't return it because there is no gift receipt.

Should I try and play this game? What should I do with it? Will I ever love this game? WIll this make me gay? Should I sell it?

Just check trailers all over the Internet to see if you might like the game, if not I'd really advice you to sell it somewhere on Ebay or something or if you play it and can't stand it, shove it down your nephew's throat... okay... forget I've just said that *LOL*.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken wal-mart will take it back as long as you havent opened it. They wont give you 'cash' but they will give you in-store credit. You have to go through some hoops, but I beleive you could get a full 'in store' credit. (wal-mart card).

Yup. That's what I'd do, and if he asks, say you dropped it on the floor, and it scratched it and it never worked agian. (Hey, one of the few times a disc that CAN be scratched is useful.) And if you start crying or something, becuase you know you traded it in at wal-mart... it just makes it seem like you really loved the game.

...gee, I don't know, maybe play it, especially before judging it so harshly.

Do you taste dog food before deciding if it's good or not?

By the way, I doubt his relative would find out about him returning the game anyway so stop being such nice guys.

I would tell you what I was thinking when I read that line, but it wouldn't very nice to be honest with you. Its a gift, keep it. You didn't pay for it. You can't return it and its not worth it to risk being the family pariah because you don't like your 10 year old nephew's gift.

If I send you a box of 'poo poo platter' overnight. Will you send it back to me and insult me, or will you try it an see if it's any good?

This isnt pointed at you ckmlb. I just think my analogy is more... intresting... :P

The thing is his nephew was just trying to be nice...you guys don't all have to be dicks about it...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

That's why I was actually being serious about my first responce. It would work. But then agian, if it's been opended. It's not worth trying to sell, because you would get maybe 20$ off of it, and that's not worth pissing family off.

I really don't see what is so gay about a hairy alien in a tight leisuresuit at a disco, but whatever floats your boat

It might be funny to play for awhile. Besides, you got it free. why would it matter if you only play it for an hour. Give it a shot.

My thoughts exactly been. I mean if he were older say 18 or 19, you could explain wanted to exchange or trade in the game, but he only 10 years old. Suck it up or be prepared to get the evil eye at family dinners.

Well, I'll say this if I was 10 I wouldn't have spent 60 dollars on a game for my uncle. I'd just keep it, unless you really need the money. It was gift I'd just keep it.
