Forums - Gaming - To all who apply: Why do you own both PS3/360?

I dont want this thread to turn to shit.

I just wanna hear some legit reasons why people would own these two extremly similiar consoles in terms of games. Some people just because their HD and dont wanna buy a Wii. Some might actually love Halo and Metal Gear that much. I dunno.

I think the way to go this gen is either of the 3. PS3/360/PC and a Wii. Thats the best combonation imo.

I fail to understand why anyone would want the twins and not 1 and a wii.

Might sound kinda fanboyish or something but Im not hear to argue I swear I just like so good reason. I wont say your opinion is wrong either just dont bash any of the other console. If the Wii isnt for you or you play one more than the other its fine.

Dont say "Wii for teh cazuals!!11" "I regret buying PS3 it sucks" and "360 just keep RRoD on me I hate it"

I suck at examples but you get what IM trying to say....

I went PS360 because the games they have appeal to me. The Wii doesn't appeal to me. I'd only buy it to party with my girlfriend and family.

Because both have great exclusives worth owning, which some people may believe are more suited for them than the exclusives on the Wii. I own all three consoles, but not everyone has the money for that.

Because when I borrowed my friends Xbox 360 there were tons of games I could rent for $3.50 per week and the PS3 had none I wanted to play? I now own both consoles so its pretty much the same.

Tease.

Well i dont buy Nintendo consoles untill all the following games are released

Mario platformer
Mario Kart
Super smash bro
Zelda

Being as these are ever the only games i get on a ninty console i might as well wait for all of them to be released. Also i have some kind of dislike for the Wii for some reason

As for the 360. it was a unwanted gift but i just kept it because i got it for like 20 smackas and Fable 2 was about to be released.

The ps3, well it does everything i want it to do out of the box. Pluss it has the best graphics (exclusive) and i am a graphics whore so

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

i originally got my 360 for blue dragon. I ended up getting my PS3 becuse my friend had one and he kept talking about how great heavenly sword was, and plus i knew i would want FFXIII so i just broke down and got one. Im glad though, they are both great systems and they have a lot of great games.

well not sure why but i think i was sold on 360 on gears of war way back when got a quite a few titles beside that now. Bought a ps3 but only got 2 games on it resistance and msg4 atm most of the others games not really interested in. Also got the wii got a bunch of games on it but barely beatn any of them cept for zelda but overall i spend the most time on pc games though.

I TAKE NO SIDES

Because I have to own every single system on the market.. I just have to.

I blame my OCD.

I bought an x360 for the JRPGs. Bought it as my last console because I didn't expect MS to start courting the Japanese public before that.

And the Wii was the first current gen (non-handheld) I bought, at the time largely due to hype but there have been a few games I enjoyed + 2009 is looking great.

In the end though good JRPGs have been few on any of the three, so owning all made it as good as it gets.

multiple games unique to each that I enjoy.  Of the 3: ps3/360/pc if I could drop 1 it would probably be the 360.  Most of the "exclusives" I play on 360 eventually find their way to PC.  I sold my 360 version of gears 1 for the PC version as I prefer PC versions.  There is 1 game that I own on all 3 systems though, that being PS3.  This is only because I have friends who play on each 1 and I was gifted each version.

I think a logical question back is, why not own all systems if you like exclusive games on each one?  If you are a real fan of a game you will buy it no matter what, including buying another console. (setting cost aside for this question)
