Forums - Sales - Will Next-Gen Consoles ALL Come With A Bundle?

One_touch_KO - I highly doubt MS goes the way of the motion controls. MS aren0t looking for first place, hell, even if they end up last, they will have done alot. They are the "hardcore kings" right now, moving to moton controls would be disasterous for them, unless they have a 400 buck virtual-reality Xbxo 720 up their sleeve.

Yes Microsoft is looking for 1st place and yes, they will enter motion controll war. Pads like the 360 and ps3 ones will be optional, not erased from gaming, but optional.

Unless thay come uo with something even more innovative, as you say. Everything can happen.

hopefully Playstation 4 comes bundled with Gran Turismo 5.

Fixed

Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

Maybe

4 ≈ One

They wont enter motion control war, and you can quote me on this. Also, sure they are looking for first place, but they aren't expecting it or desire it as much as Sony, simply because they havent been at the top yet. if they ever reach that place, then good for them, but for now, MS is simply in it for the cash, something they are doing quiet well.

I hope so! I can see the PS4 bundled with a naughty dog or insomniac game!

XBOX 720 - Bundled Game = Gears of War 4
Playstation 4 - Gran Turismo 6
Wii 2.0 - Wii Sports HD

Wishful thinkingon the Sony and MS part. For one, I doubt they would release such a game on the XBOX 720 so soon, not to mention the game has a full worth of 60 bucks, something that can't be good for the console's price. Same case applies to the PS4, noticing, also, how long GT5 has been in development for. I doubt the 6th installment will be done by the time the PS4 is released.

On the other hand, Nintendo is most probably already working on that Sports HD.

I think One touch KO is spot on here. The only bundled games that boost the console sales, are games that do something new and are meaningful in the sense. Of course, offering a bundle that is sold cheaper than the console and the game sold separately offers the same as sold at cheaper price, which is meaningful when you are competing with price.
As stated in the OP, NES with SMB and Wii with Wii Sports were huge successes, while GC with SMS/MP/MKDD/RE4 bundles, N64 with SM64 bundle, SNES with SM All Stars/SMW bundles weren't (although, SNES did beat the competition, but it was the most popular console regionally only in the Americas). Gameboy with Tetris also had a huge success and DS has had various bundles, but then again, DS has a number of "meaningful" games.

@Pete Beast: M$ will enter the motion controls. You said the reason yourself; they are in the business to make money. Looking at the sales numbers, the market has ditched the pad controls for motion controls and a sure reason to lose market and your money would be to stick to a product what the market doesn't want. Besides, M$ already is doing their tests with motion controls. The Lips mics has motion sensors in them (kind of like a Singstar and Boogie mix).

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

It has to be a game that shows what the console can do. Their is no point bundling Gears 4 or 5. SMB, Duck Hunt and Wii Sports all helped sell the console.

It's also a good move to bundle 3 or 5 (dare I say it) minigames. The market sees more value in a title with multiple minigames than 1 blockbuster.

The bundled title needs to instantly show what distinguishes one console from the another. If we get Playstation Sports and Microsoft Sports then Nintendo will probably win again.

Sony has already entered the motion war with the six axis. Microsoft aren't in it for the money directly, they only joined to stop Sony's dominance of the living room. I think MS will now be aiming their sights at Nintendo for the same reasons as they did with Sony. MS will start to do motion, you can quote me on this.
