And actually, thinking about KZ2 gameplay, I've been really interested to try the FPS cover system. I'm playing through R:FoM right now and I've been thinking the whole game I would love to be able to actually take advantage of cover the whole time (since duck is worthless) like in Gears and hopefully KZ2 cover will work well.

Ugh, wait till you get to Resistance 2. The enemy AI will lock onto you and charge at you if you so much as breathe in their direction. Coupled with the fact that you can die really quickly on the normal difficulty, I was really hoping there would be something there to help you out. To it's credit though, the default button for crouch is L2, so crouching behind things isn't a big deal as it's easier to hit L2 than R3 or L3.

I'm hoping Killzone 2's cover system works.

LOL As frustrating as that was with Resistance 2 it feels right to me. The enemies are very much aware of what Hale is doing at all times, and they take him as maximum priority. If you are far away enough the enemies will battle with your comrades. Yet the second you step into the fray, all eyes on you. I think this might actually be a plot device.Hale is the only other Member of SRPA to be infected with "PURE" Chimera. THe Pure are the leaders of the all the other chimera, just like the Angels were. It makes sense for the Chimera to immediately want to stop Hale because he is the biggest threat to them. Or maybe Daelelus  told them to make Hale the MAIN priority, to try and get him back on their side. It all makes sense really. Unfortunately this intails many players get swarmed by outrageous numbers of chimera fairly often LOL so much fun!

I think many things Insomniac was going for with this game was over looked or went right over people's head. Like the fact that the story is almost completly told through slight nuances and intel documents. Or that Henry Stillman radio host was a mood setter for the game(really listen to the poor guy, so sad).

I understand it as part of the plot of being infected, but it's just frustrating that it puts way too much trial and error into the gameplay.

lol, whenever I heard Stillman talking, I would immediatly think about the guy and his radio show from Prey.

@IllegalPladin

Lol very true. When it comes to Resistance 2 it is not if you can play without dying, yet instead its...

"I Can play through Resistance 2 while dying LESS times then YOU!!!" LOL

but really, the game is hard as fuck at certain parts. I hate those damn flying drones(the big ones) with the shield wrapped around them. I die maybe 10 times everytime Im at the part where they come out and you are surrounded by cars. All they do is shoot those damn missiles and blow the cars up as you pass them. BOOM!!! Dead (_-_)

I love it when they swarm you with grims though. It creates this zombie flick like atmosphere where you are frantically running all over the place for cover and amo because they keep coming at you no matter what. Yet I must commend R2 for taking away the formula with everything approach for alot of these bosses and enemies. There is no sequence to their actions which I feel is good

I really want to see the multiplayer and how it looks in the final build (compared to the beta build) and to also see if they took care of as many of the beta issues that they could. Heck, having more maps would be great (instead of one small, medium, and large map in the beta).

If the balancing, map, and bug issues have been fixed, I think the multiplayer on it's own should prove to be an experience.

Oh it most definitely will be good. No doubt. THe real questions about this game is how much will it be marketed. It needs to SELL SELL SELL! Its sad when games like GTAIV and Halo can get recordbreaking sales numbers but something of a higher caliber and level of quality cant do the same. THe marketing has to be strong in order for this game to penetrate.

They should have spent less time with subtle story telling techniques and concentrated on things like, I don't know, driving controls.  Why the Hell would they make drive forward reload and reverse change weapon!?  Hopefully that's another thing they fixed in R2...

Hopefully I'm nearly done with R:FoM, whether by finishing the game or just getting fed up with it, and I can finally start R2 and CoD4 again.

at what place are ya ?

Check out my game about moles ^

Yea, they fixed it in R2 as there are no driving parts.

I mainly wish they would explain more of the Chimera or go more in-depth with it. The first one left too many things unexplained and the narration started to get boring (since they mainly talk about how Hale is so gun-ho) and there isn't enough story in the second one. Since there's usually large amounts of time between levels where they could flesh certain things out more.

Though perhaps this is getting a little off topic of Killzone 2, lol.

Ice and steel.

I'm about out of Auger ammo so I play ring around the rosey with the damn crawler for 10-15 minutes until I finally bring it down and then the Titan cheap shots me because I got stuck on terrain.  I know I only have about 5 maps left but that pissed me off pretty good and I was already getting bored with the game quite a while ago.
