I'm pretty sure I'll get MGS4 as well.... Can I understand the story without playing the previous games ? (I played the beginning of MGS2 and it was confusing - but cool) Normally I wouldn't get Ratchet & Clank, but it's pretty cheap so I guess it's possible.
Next question: How much do I need to pay for high profile PSN titles ? (Such as Siren, Wipeout HD, R&C Quest for Booty)
Probably last question: I know I can't hook up the PS3 via VGA to my CRT Monitor, but is it possible to hook it up to my 17'' LCD monitor (DVI) ?

Resistance 1 & 2 are both great games, definitely get those. I think you will still like LBP. They just added the MGS pack so get that. It gives you the "Paintinator" gun which shoots out little blobs of paint to fire at will. The levels for it are pretty damn cool, almost feels like contra. The level design tools are awesome as well as the levels already made. You will be astounded by some of the things people have came up with. Just last night I was riding in a tank with controls for back and forward, a connon switch, small anti air craft missile launcher, as well as the paintinator attached to it for on the go destruction. LBP is for EVERYONE!
And in actuallity LBP is not as kiddy as it looks, its actually a little masachistic to an unparalled degree. The way they just explode and stuff is hilarious. And the Narrator is a mixture of creepy and cool with some of the random things he says
Suggested Games...
Valkyria Chronicles, a must for RPG fans as well as Strategy fans. Perfection
MGS4,DUH! If you own a PS3 and not MGS4 you should be shot!
Heavenly Sword is awesome but really short, buy it or rent it.
as well as R1 and R2
And reserve Killzone 2 because the demo is available on monday for those who reserve it through gamestop.
