red fraction looks worse than gears 2 to me ,,,so how do they think they maxed it out?

off topic:

I wish some devs would focus a little bit more on cell,,,if we can get uncharted ,killzone 2 ,lbp,MGS4 with cell and only 256 mb of ram and graphic card ,,,imagine what it can do if the graphic card and ram were above 1 gig.Hopefully we'll see in PS4

Who cares about Cell? It's so overrated, just as the Emotion Engine was.

Had to change my sig to get some moderator to quit bitching about it......

You cant just max out the 360 already dammit!

loll, are you already regretting you're purchase? lmao

Why would he be? THe 360 has had tons of good games come out for it and will continue to do so till it's run is over. You honestly think this game is pushing the 360 to its limits? You think this is going to be the swan song of the 360? I doubt it, the old Red Faction games were good but they weren't triple A material.

Would you have been disappointed if Kojima had said he pushed the PS3 to the end? I doubt it, MGS4 is a wonderful game and you would continue to look towards future upcoming releases. Besides the 360 is over 3 years old now, there going to hit the wall at somepoint, does that make the system any worse? Doubt it.

Not like the minute advantage of PS3 power is going to "blow the 360 out of the water" like many fanboys have suggested. Sure the PS3 games will look slightly better, but who cares, it's not like you are getting better games. Arguing over such a small increase in performance is trivial.

I could change some things in my XNA game I am making that would devour the memory. Could be a problem with their engine.

I am unsure what the specific issue is with this. Any given developer could 'max out' a system at any given time, if they wanted to. It's all about optimizations, IMO. Now, RF:G could be using very specific things (such as the Geo-Mod) that could 'stress' the X360 architecture, but I doubt that Red Faction: Guerrilla will be the best-looking game on the X360. The 360 isn't even 4 years old...Which makes me think it's potential isn't quite there.

We may be seeing some developers like Violition max out certain parts and aspects of the 360's archatecture, but that's been going on since developers have complained about DVD size limitations (and I wonder if he's talking about that instead of RAM?)

i disagree with this statement, Developers have used up all the potential of the xbox 360 as noted the console has been maxed out. Not to mention the space limitation asocciated with the Xbox 360 (dvd -disc) - developers are already looking ahead to the Xbox 720 which does not bode well for its existing counter part!

If developers truely used up all the potential, then why is this the first instance of it being said? I really don't see how you could take one developer saying 'We've maxed out the Xbox 360!' as definitive evidence that the system has peaked in graphical fidelity.

I mean, looking at every other system, as long as games continued to be produced, they became better. As long as there are economic advantages to producing a game on the X360, developers will find new ways of peaking the system. Heck, I remember when Bethsada said that Oblivion was using a significant portion of what the X360 had available, because it was the first game to use all 3 CPUs.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Perhaps they're just talking about Maxing out the game engine.........

4 ≈ One

Calling out a mod = bad news for you

Anyway, I'm gonna call this BS if only for the assumed fact that they are trying to get some false hype for their game. (I mean, it looks like ass, ya know?)

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need...
