Forums - Gaming - Yet another Sony exclusive title goes the Way of the 360

What about Bioshock, Eternal Sonata? Just the other way.

Youre right. It does go both ways. 360 has a larger install base so games will always sell better on their system compared to the PS3, but there is still money to be made by crossing over. Either way it is better for the devs who make more money and can use profits to justify making better games.

You guys can joke about Microsoft getting this Sony exclusive that nobody cares about all you want. The thing is that this sort of thing is getting more and more common. Pretty soon Sony will not have any exclusives left except for their first party efforts. It's difficult to sell a system that way.

 Exactly.

(looks at the N64 and Gamecube)

yep your right...

(looks at wii)

((while they seem to have more games coming out now than before, you cannot deny that people buy the Nintendo mostly for the 1st party games))

This is true. The difference between Nintendo and the HD systems is that they are a gaming only company.

You cannot deny that most people buy the PS3 and 360 for the great 3rd party games.  As soon as Sony starts selling it's systems due to it's 1st party games alone, like Nintendo does, then it wont matter when game's exclusivity is taken from them.

bolded = unfounded woffle.

"This is true. The difference between Nintendo and the HD systems is that they are a gaming only company."

Sony has a division dedicated to gaming (SCE) which is bigger than Nintendo.

"As soon as Sony starts selling it's systems due to it's 1st party games alone, like Nintendo does"

-Sony will never soley rely on first party.

-Nintendo doesn't rely largley on 1st party intentionaly , it's more to do with  the platform being unapealing to 3rd parties.

-Most of  nintys sucess with the wii lies in the hardware not th software.

many of your arguments are flawed and (or) unfounded , for the most party inspired by your support for nintendo. You make so many asseertions yet you can't irrefutablly  back up a ssingle one.

Sony's 1st party will never be as strong as Nintendo's 1st party, because Sony hasn't figured out who carries to banner for Sony. They are also putting games on up like the savior game for the PS3 and then replacing them left and right like a child with a large amount of A.D.D.

^True. Nintendo has franchises that are 20 years and going. They know what it takes to appeal to kids and with so many consoles sold its not hard for them to do wrong.

Sony will never duplicate Nintendo's success this gen.

Unless their first party exclusives produce several big winners Sony will shoulder financial losses incurred by development costs.

The fact of the matter is they need more consoles out there to boost sales. Their numbers are growing but will it be enough.

Any word of samurai one and two coming in a package or something to 360?

Their first party efforts are more than sufficient, thank you.

Anyway, what you describe as "pretty soon" is already the status quo.

I say their third party exclusives are reduced to three or less for the year 2010.

this is stupid. Only GOOD exclusives which PS3 lost are: DMC 4, Tekken and Final Fintasy 13 (ps3 exclusive in japan). You didn't see any PS3 exclusive coming to 360 lately, did you? Only this stupid game which nobody really cares about.

LET'S NOT FORGET TO MENTION SOME OF THE EXCLUSIVES 360 LOST:
Saints Row 2
Just Cause 2
Lost Planet
Ace Combat 6
Eternal Sonata
Overlord
GRAW 2
World In Conflict
Bioshock

And i can play some of the best 360 exclusives even when i DON'T have 360. Gears of war, Gears Of War 2, Halo 3 ARE ALSO ON PC.

IGN:Best game for 360 year 2007: COD 4 (also on ps3)
IGN:best game for PS3 year 2007: Uncharted Drakes Fortune (ps3 exclusive)

IGN:Best game for 360 year 2008: FALLOUT 3 (also on ps3)
IGN:Best game for ps3 year 2008:MGS4 (ps3 exclusive)

Now about sales:
The 360 has been on market twice as long as the PS3. So sales numbers expected to twice of the PS3. BUT THEY' RE NOT!!! PS3 sales numbers are at about 70% of 360's.

That's MORE THAN A HALF. That means if both consoles were released at the same time, PS3 would definitely winning in sales numbers

Yes, Sony lost 3 billion on PS3, BUT Microsoft lost 6 billion on 360. TWICE AS MUCH.
