Of course that's not going to kill gaming.
Wii Fit already did that. My Cooking Trainer was the nail in the coffin. This is just beating a dead corpse.

| shams said: Its a sweet looking title, I will definitely pick it up (I love reading, and have only read a fraction of those books). Are those books non-licensed? I can't understand how Nintendo can actually do this - if the game costs $40, each book is less than 50c... I cooked my first dishes using the 'Cooking Guide' game a few nights ago, and it was a great success. Made Saag Paneer & Chickpea Masala - both turned out great. Highly recommended title for those wanting to expand their cooking btw ;) As much as I use the DS for gaming - I'm very happy if titles for it spill over into non-gaming. |
Oh NOOOZ! You are destroying the industry! You bought a DS COOKING program? Don't you know if you don't ONLY buy games like Blood Splatter War 17, you are going to drive more developers under?!?!?!?!?!

Unwashed masses use e-pages to wipe their e-asses.
Not so much... Heck, have we forgotten Cartoons on GBA??? 360 with Netflix, PS3 with a Video store in PSN and a Music store coming??? PS3 and Wii now having news and Weather applications??? How many people also use their PSP as an MP3 player and portable video player??? [I know I do for both cases]. And I believe the Sega Saturn even had a web browser [don't quote me on this.] If you reallly look at it, the case is if this is all true then the industry has been dying for ages now but I only see numbers going up....
It feels like alot of people are just expecting more than "just Games" with systems these days. I can only imagine how much this will grow in the 8th Gen. As for this, if there are any interesting books, I'll be buying this.
4 ≈ One
Interesting concept, I must admit. I'd like to own that [especially since I love to read and it gets troublesome carrying 600 + page books around :S (and yes, I do read Oo)]. When it comes out in North America I'll definitely look forward to buying it :3
I like cereal :3
Just what we need: Damned "Book Fanboys".
I can see it now.
Guy A: "Killzone 2's graphics use the power of teh Cell"
Guy B: "Oh yeah? Well my book uses the power of Imagination!"

Guy B. Posts photo/ video of guy reading a book and nodding his head.
Damn you, Nintendo. Look what you've done!! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!
It would be nice, but, I kinda like having the actual book in my hands when I read, you know?
I guess this would be great for travelling n stuff.

The book guy can also deliver the smackdown that people will STILL be reading the books in the Book Collection, while KZ2 is gathering dust, and no longer around.
I have been told by Hunter_Alien, a fan of the PSP, that Sony includes shipments of UMD films within their fiscal reports about PSP software shipments (and looking at the reports inclines me to believe it is true)
If films are included for the PSP, them books can be included for the DS.
