How often does Sony promote specific PS3 exclusive games on TV?

They don't advertise nearly as well as they should. I can't turn on my TV without seeing an Xbox360 ad. hell even games that are multi platform are Xbox360 commercials. Everytime i saw a Fallout 3 ad it almost always was followed by the 360 logo. Sony needs to market their product like it did during the PS1 days

AFAIK, that wasn't a widespread ad campaign but only one that was focused locally (Ireland if I'm not mistaken). Many on this site have complained that that ad should've been done elsewhere as well.

perhaps for the newspaper ads...but not the tv commercials.

They reason they dont advertise is because it costs money, and SCE isnt going to waste what they make of the PSP/PS2 on advertisements.

Im sure this year especially the holiday season, Sony will be very competitive, because its when the ps3 will be making money, and when they will have alot to use for advertisements.

tv commercial... many here too have said they haven't seen a R2 commercial at all (neither have I over here). That ad is pretty good, but I only knew it because I had seen it here...
