I always hear talk about RE0 and the RE1 remake for GC and how good they are (and I agree, I own them,) but never hear anything about RE2 and 3.

I believe RE2 and 3 on the Gamecube were just ports, not remakes.

Resident Evil 2 and 3 on Gamecube are not remakes, but ports. It doesn't really change the original quality of the games though. Just don't expect the same graphics as Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil.

Resident Evil 2 is very good. Resident Evil 3 is my least favorite in the series, but it's still decent.

I would suggest playing the original PS1 versions because GC versions are suppose to be terrible.

they're not remakes they're ports. I haven't played them in a while but from what I remember they are still good games on the gamecube. If you never played them before on ps1 and can find them cheap on GC check em out I say.

Ports? where can I get those two? I want to get into the series... I never heard those even existed on the GC.

As for the games they are ports like everybody already have been pointing out. The difference from the PlayStation originals are a little higher resolution and less jaggies on the characher models. Just like the Dreamcast versions.

They are just ports of the PS One versions, with few minor improvements ( i think cutscenes) they still great games but they have not aged very well compared to REmake or Resident Evil 0 they look really crap, and control even harder.

They still fun so if you dont mind the graphics get it!

All RE main titles were remade, made or ported to GC.

Plus, RE2 and RE3 look a bit better on the GC and the controls are better.

I wouldn't bother with both anymore. But then again, I beat part 1, 2 and 3 probably 10 times each. Code Veronica may surprise you... while it doesn't have many scares compared to remake and 0, it looks decent and has some interesting characters.
