No. While I don't think it would lead to many problems, giving normal users the power for even legitimate bans is wrong.

10000 posts should be the benchmark for this power to be granted. Any of the controversial members should not be allowed to have such power, even if they have high post counts, they would abuse their power.

Having that avatar would be a bannable offense in my book.  That's why only mods should have this power.

I've long said I would be a good mod for this time, as it's the time I'm always on.

But because of a bunch of comments I made 5000 posts again it's not in the realms of possibility.
