Not a good idea. Having run forums you myself you can have enough issues with mods themselves, adding fuel to fire is just a stupid idea.

yesterday was really disgusting, people were posting some nasty pics, and there were no mods online

i think if a certain amount of people report a user they should have a temporary ban

Haha ... this. Mods are mods for a reason, as stated earlier. I think it's a poor idea - and think if you have a prob with a post and you know it's trolling, report it.

Just make it so the user has to be a trusted one, who isn't a trouble maker... Posts have nothing to do with it...

No way. I've been here for WAY longer than most everybody here, and I feel I contribute WAY more than the kid that joined last month and feels he has to post in every single thread, no matter how trivial the response.

And you're telling me that kid should be able to ban me. Ridiculous!

I think the episode that started this debate has been forgotten by those that weren't around at the time, so i will reiterate.

Some dick was on here posting pics of dicks, gay porn, shit eating and the like for a good few hours while some of our younger members were online and there wasn't a mod online to show the young fellow the door.
