Go and get Metal Gear Solid 4 first before you play anything else. LBP is highly overrated. MGS4 is GameSpot's game of the year for a reason. The game is full of epic win. And then some.

Seriously, though, MGS4 is better. A lot better. And 9/10 people who say there are too many cutscenes haven't played it. Not one person who I know has played the game has said that there were too many cutscenes. And they all hate cutscenes.

MGS4 has some the best cutscenes I have seen in a game, the gameplay is excellent, and there is plenty of both.

A) Metacritic and Gamerankinks both say otherwise (though only by a small margin.  That's a significant collection of professional journalistic opinions.  Not just mine.

B) You obviously don't know me and your small circle of friends (no matter how big it is, it is not a large enough sample to represent the population as a whole) doesn't represent everyone's thoughts on the game.

Lastly, MGS4, for fans of the series, was exceptional.  I didn't play any of the previous ones and found little interest in the convoluted story trying to tie everything up I didn't know about.  Therefore, the story seemed very tedious to me.

Hey, they are just opinions, though.  How about the OP buy both, along with Heavenly Sword?  That's a great hack and slash if you like that sort.  Graphically, there are some awe-inspiring moments.
