OK, so the goal is to see if XB360 can lure console RPG fans into buying one.
I'm such guy, and the premise is flawed already. Luring such players means mostly JRPG, as WRPG are boring in comparisons, as they focus on power leveling and lots of numbers (who has the biggest?).
There are exceptions. What is flawed is that M:UA is not a RPG. Then there are MMORPG like Phantasy Star Universe which are in another entire category, and won't lure people to consoles (best on PC).
Then there are the RPG that are so bad they won't lure anyone : Enchanted Arms.
That really leaves only Oblivion as sth that could be good to lure people for last year : Oblivion.
It sold well because of the drought of interesting RPG on this console, and despite the numerous flaws of the game.
I would not buy, that's for sure.
This year is more interesting.
Kingdom under fire has RPG elements, but is not a RPG at all. It's more a RTS with a few RPG elements.
That leaves 5 RPG. 2 are out, so only 2 can lure people to XB360 right now. The two are good RPG.
Seems like Lost Odyssey will be similar in quality. The other two are WRPG, so won't lure console gamers.
But have to wait to know. RPG are not things you buy based on screenshots. Gameplay is very important, and the storytelling too, far more than graphics. Sound is as important as ever too.
I would buy Eternal Sonata, mainly because I love Namco style (like odd fixed camera angles to hide items you have to find), and despite its flaws. Blue Dragon I would not buy. Most people wanted to see what Mistwalker could do, and perhaps were eager to hear Uematsu wonderful score, but that's all there is to this RPG. It's interesting to see what it can do in western XB360 market.
The others we don't know enough about.
