Forums - Microsoft - Quasi-Poll: Which of the 5 X360 RPGs are you buying?

I am very interested to see how the JRPG's do, considering the primary fanbase prefers games like Gears of War and Halo. I tend to consider FPS's and RPG's to be at opposite ends of the spectrum. The 360 is DEFINITELY more diverse than the Xbox was, so I think there is a pretty good chance they will all have respectable numbers.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

which of the five will I buy ??? let me think....

MASS EFFECT, MASS EFFECT, MASS EFFECT, MASS EFFECT and MASS EFFECT

BECAUSE IT SPITS HOT FIRE !!!

@montanahatchet

what is with you???

I'm buying Blue Dragon (dragon quest clones FTW!!) and probably Mass Effect.

Although Blue Dragon is kiddier than most JRPG fare it has a solid battle system nearly identical to early FF/Dragon Quest (which is what FF copied off of) and it has the art of Akira Toriyama.

Mass Effect, the rest I will rent with gamefly. Wish I had more money as I would love to own blue dragon, eternal sonata and Lost Odessy. There are just too many cool games coming out.

Funny thing is most bad reviews complain about it not being original or innovative etc but to be honest that is what I am looking for.  If plays like chrono trigger then I am a happy camper.

If I had a 360, I would really go for.

1. Lost Odyssey
2. Mass Effect
3. Eternal Sonata
4. Blue Dragon

Lost Odyssey simply looks incredible, as does Mass Effect. I like the pedigree of Lost Odyssey better and usually prefer JRPG's to WRPG's. That being said, I still like Mass Effect more than the other two, simply because it looks so good and I know Bioware is a great company. Eternal Sonata looks better than Blue Dragon to me because I don't like the art style of Blue Dragon (last game I enjoyed with that art director who does the DBZ look was Chrono Trigger). I like the general feel of Eternal Sonata more as well. Chibiish characters really bother me.

I don't know much about Two Worlds or Kingdom Under Fire, so I won't say anything about them. The other 4 probably will make me buy a 360 eventually. I still hold out hope that Eternal Sonata will come to the PS3.

Heck yess i agree almost perfectly akuma =)

Well im saying lost odyssey is a def buy for me, it will prob be even higher on most wanted lists once we actually know more about it.

Mass effect, eternal sonota and blue dragon are all buys if i have the money to spare

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Mass Effect an Eternal Sonata for me. Those are sure thing, i have yet to see more of lost odyssey, the demo of Blue Dragon killed all the hype i had for the game.

Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Two Worlds, Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey...

All look excellent though... especially Mass Effect...

Just Mass Effect. I was actually getting very hyped over Lost Odyssey... until I read a preview. It doesn't seem to be doing anything new. It's just another Final Fantasy.
