i think the number system is better. its easier to understand and i feel that there's a larger scale
Heh I just noticed this too! Although we can still find something to complain about like an A- and B+ and B- and C+ getting the same score I'd at least would have liked to see the + grade maybe have a .8 instead but you can't win them all...All in all I also like this method better ;)

Talon's conversion chart isn't entirely accurate, and this is the one most reviewers use from the mod forums. His chart was made to explain how the conversions occurred when there were .5 increments, but we have since fixed it to be .1 increments. Here's the scale I use that was posted by one of the admins when we decided to change the review system:
A+: 96-100
A: 92-95
A-: 88-91
B+: 84-87
B: 80-83
B-: 76-79
C+: 72-75
C: 68-71
C-: 64-67
D+: 60-63
D: 55-59
D-: 50-54
F: 0-49
Just change the 49 to 4.9 in your head like I do, since we originally were going to go out of 100 instead of out of 10. Ends up the same anyway.

This looks very similar to the grading scale I use in my classroom...the only difference being some are off by one or two %.. my B- = 77 C+ =72 C=70 C-=65
So I can honestly say I agree with the scale at least but that also means I would like to see more games get into that F range so we could see what the difference is between a game close to 0 than a game closer to 49, both would suck royally but some have at least some things going for it...the game I just updated Deadly Arts may have been a possible candidate...its only redeeming quality being the create a character...otherwise I remember it being a pile of turd..

Well "unfortunately"we are less likely to review something that low because we buy all our own games, and are unlikely to buy something that is a broken piece of crap. So while our scores may seem inflated when looking at the average, it is mainly because of how we get our games.

lol..well if any of you have a wii you could be "gifted" something that absolutely sucks although to give it a proper review someone would have to have the nerve to play it long enough or maybe not...but you make a good point.
Either way I have to say I like the way the scale looks now at least knowing that you guys can translate the scale to a grading method that I can relate to ^^
