 I understand here on the net people will still say this to make their PS3 seem not wasted money.

However I know the general public dont think the same, and the tell tale sign for me was when the 4 guys I know who have PS3's and MGS4 came round and seen Gears 2 singleplayer they were gobsmacked that the 360 could beat their console. They openly admitted that Gears 2 was the best console game by some way. I look at both and cant even begin to imagine how people can try and deny it. It's funny though watching this happen here on the good old net.

IGN havent released the Overall Graphics of the year yet.

Also cant find it on Gamespot either.

The only one where MGS4 wins overall is Spike.

 

Gears 2 has won overall on Gamespy and Game Trailers.

 

IGN= Yeah it hasnt BUT xbox 360 graphics went to GTA IV, PS3 has GTA IV but it went to MGS4. :O GTA IV looks better then Gears 2! XD

 

Gamespot=

Nominations : MGS4, Burnout, Crysis warhead, dead space, farcry 2. You see Gears 2 there? No :P

 

Spike = Spike XD

My point isnt how many shits they have won, alot of sites have MGS4 as the winner ( i dont know em all i only do follow IGN ) but i do know pretty many that have MGS4 in their nomination list and not even gears 2. Just sayin' lol

My point to you was MGS4 has won 1 Graphics of the year award at Spike.

Gears 2 has 2 so far.

Also I googled for the other sites you say that MGS4 has won on, and surprise there wasnt any.

You can cling to whatever you want (the same as PS3 owners do to the sales) the fact is it's 2-1 to Gears 2 right now.

  have you ever heard of IGN or GAMESPOT, or CHEAT CODE CENTRAL? Oh and VGCHARTZ?

They all gave MGS4 best graphics of 2008, im sorry if your too blind to notice.

y is it that u always come back to this. Look, just because a game may have better graphics does not mean that another console is a waste of money. Last time I checked, we play games, not graphics. Also, the "general public" is not "general" if ppl around my way see MGS4 as the best graphics of 2008, even those that have a 360 and Gears 2.

I think selnor is living on the gamespot forums, honestly from loving the PLAYSTATION 2, to acquriing pure hatred to the PLAYSTATION 3, it makes no sense.

xD IGN and gamespot havent given the overall gfx to MGS4 Leo-J, Thats what he is using against us. Go above and read our chat. Although im pretty sure itll get it >.<.. Gears 2 wasnt even nominated lol.

As for cheatcc i had no clue ty oh and vgchartz didnt think of that XD.

Congrats Gears 2....you deserve it!!!

Come-on people both games are amazing, a simple congrats would suffice, hell, several of these awards have been given to MGS4 (and rightfully so).  PC gamers have all the right in the world to be upset (they always get ignored).  Every time one of these awards come out the other console owners are screaming foul, bias.  I especially find the "I hate that site, they are [insert console here] fan-boys" comments, ironically though, when/if the situation is reversed they respond with positive posts....(rolls eyes). 

I have seen both in HD and agree whole-heartedly with the above post.  Friends who own both consoles have commented that it is even graphically, where certain aspect of MGS4 beat out Gears 2 and vice versa.  Sheesh this is getting embarrassing.
