FEAR 2 will get quite a bit of attention.  Not as much as killzone 2.  It's the only game that's going to even remotely compete with kz2 though.  The original post is just stupid.

LOL! Why would any of those games compete with Killzone 2? The other two FPS are Damnation (which will probably suck), and FEAR 2 which was never good on PS3 anyway. Bionic Commando and The Godfather might do reasonably well for themselves, but they're sandbox games. The Lost and Damned is a 360-exclusive expansion pack, so I don't see why that would do anything.

And what the hell is Rogue Warriors? Never heard of it.

No competition, no competition at all. I see no Halo, no Gears of War, no Call of Duty, therefore, no competition.

I was focusing mainly on FPS.  For sheer hype alone, you have Street Fighter 4 and RE5.  I am curious here though:  Why do people here think that hype on videogame forums equals what the rest of world thinks or knows about?  If you were to look at forums like this, and the Internet, Snakes on a Plane would of been the biggest grossing movie when it was released, and Ron Paul would of been the nominee of the Republican Party.  Things seriously appear much larger here than they are in real life.

KZ2 may end up with legs, if it is all that but as far as being "the only think FPS" in February, I am not sure how one can say that.   I did list some that say otherwise.

Also in Febuary to appeal to shooter fans, and thus detract from K2 sales
RE5 (its a third person shooter, not survival horror)

Red Faction: Guerilla
Halo Wars: Face it, this is gonna sell to Halo fans, not RTS fans
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Socom: Confrontation

Well, besides that being a commentary on your complete and utter lack of knowledge about the gaming industry in general, which you happen to discuss every day, it also asserts that downloaded titles can't be in competition with retail games, which I disagree with.

Anyway, if F.E.A.R. 2 is anywhere near the first game, then I have very little doubt that it will probably be better than Killzone 2, but why argue against zombie hordes, huh?

Also, can't wait for SFIV. I'm gonna have two games to purchase around that time....neither one is KZ2, unfortunately. I rent PS3 games and play them on my brother's console. I find that quality exclusives on any console are rather rare, and I also find it unnecessary to own both HD consoles, since their libraries over the past year have been approximately 75% identical. So yes, despite KZ1, if KZ2 manages to impress me, I'll rent it. I would never be biased against a game, simply because I despise its core fanbase. I play computer games, afterall.
