To be fair Blue Dragon sold 200 k when there were only what, 400 k X360s in Japan. WKC sells 200 k when there are nearly 3 million PS3s.

Install base =/= software sales

When OH WHEN will people learn about market saturation? :(

Then we should expect a million seller on the 360 in Japan any day now?

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

So you think it's by mere accident that the PS3 versions of multi-platform games outsell the X360 versions by 2:1 in Japan, but get outsold by the X360 versions at the same ratio in the rest of the world?

Congrats. WKC joins the 8 other Playstation 3 games that have outsold the X360's best seller in Japan. Why didn't they get a thread for that?

I hope WKC is a success and Playstation fans enjoy the game, as I enjoy my 7 JRPGs I own for my 360 :)

You must have low standards then if you enjoy those games :/

Or he just like certain genres that don't appeal to you.  I thought Lost Odyssey was very good.

Lost Odysseys is about as good as FFX, which is okay.  Nothing spectacular.

Stickball, however, has zero experience with the genre before this gen and outside of the Xbox 360.  Something he mentioned numerous times back in 2007 to defend his point that the 360 would bring in new JRPG owners.  Oddly, this year he seems to claim to have played nearly every JRPG for the last 2 decades.  Apparently the man has gone through tens of thousands of hours of JRPGs in under a year.  Must be some sort of miracle.

Woah. When did I say that I had no experience with the RPG genre in 2007? PLEASE tell me where I said I hadn't played a JRPG before this generation.

I'll gladly admit my experience last generation was very tepid, at best, with the JRPG genre. I only played the Kingdom Hearts series, FFX-2, FFXII, DQVIII and Tales of Legendia (that I can remember). But before that, I was heavily into JRPGs in the NES and SNES generation. Of course, the N64 killed off my JRPG gaming habits since it was the most atrocious system ever made (Thanks Nintendo Power for those FFIV shots on the '64!).

I own literal copies of every game I've mentioned in my profile. Most of which, I still have the boxes and pack-ins. My total collection of the oldies is probably valued in the thousands of dollars, since I was one of the few kids that supported Square and Enix back in the SNES glory days in the 'states. I was an avid Nintendo Power collector in the 90's as well - still have every issue numbered, and in order, from around Issue #24 (Final Fantasy II) to well in the low 100's (mid way through the N64 era).

Again, please show me where I stated that I was inexperienced with the genre before 07. I was removed somewhat, yes, due to owning an N64/Xbox, but that doesn't mean that I didn't play nearly every SNES JRPG released in the USA in the 90's, because I did.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
