They will market what will work best.

The realization that you are no longer the target consumer is a painful one indeed.

That doesn't personally apply to me, though.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Yes, you was used in the general sense rather than specifically at you.

there are too many great Wii games i'm planning to buy in 2009, i have no time and no money to play/buy all i like, so why to wish for more?

Maybe everyone else doesn't want to play the same games you do. Yushire may have finished those games already or they just don't interest him. Not hard to understand really, I have been in that same Wii boat for a long time now although I think I may now need to finally check out Fire Emblem.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I don't really hold my breath for hardcore "adult" games for my Wii....I use my ps3 & 360 for those.  But the Wii also offers something "different" than those two consoles--party fun and group games.  I just try to enjoy all three of my consoles for what they are and what they offer.  This year, I've used my Wii for parties, my 360 for jrpg's, and my ps3 as a media hub and for Rock Band 2.

Okay, just wanted to make sure.

As for those, it's a matter of thinking you are part of a larger group than you actually are. Look at comic book fans. They started to get what they want at the expense of what made them so popular (then it went too far, with jerks turning the books into what they like, where even the base is getting pissed).

I don't think that's a fair analogy but whatever.  We'll will choose what we get with our purses/wallets.

"I don't think that's a fair analogy but whatever."

Comic books didn't have a Nintendo to pull them out of it before they turned from what TV Tropes calls "Pandering To The base" into what it calls "Running The Asylum".

That's a shame.

If comic-books had their own Nintendo-style rescue, we might be reading about Superman's Tea Partyz today instead.

Get your head out of your ass.

I do actually mean to be that rude. That is not what Nintendo is doing. They are finding what gets more people into games.

You have an anime avatar, which just makes you look even more ignorant for not bringing manga into here, and their demographics.
