Forums - Nintendo - FE: Radian Dawn - 2 main characters?

Sothe and Micariah, both are main characters and I shouldn't let them get killed?

Opened the box and read the manual, still waiting for the TV :(

You'll encounter a number of main characters in the game, but for the first "book" Sothe and Micaiah are the main characters. You don't have to worry about them getting killed, because it's game over if you lose either of them.

But as usual in FE it isn't wise to lose anyone in the game, especially in Radiant Dawn you'll miss a lot of story/dialogue and valuable support bonus options.

But have fun! FE:RD is one of the best games this gen. Beware though: the difficulty is insane from the go.

4 "books" in the game. Sothe and Micaiah for the first, someone else for the second, someone different again for the 3rd, and then all three lines weave together for the 4th

But yeah. The number of characters that you can allow to die without losing something from the story is relatively small, so i'd just hit that Home button and choose "Reset" whenever anyone bites the big one, unless they are an Ally or an Other unit. You can let them destroy themselves until the cows come home, unless keeping them alive is part of the success requirements

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Okay, I played Normal. Everything went smoothly, up until the escape from prison part.

Being careless and letting enemies sneaked through and beat up the weakling girls... more than once, LOL.

Funny thing is, first try I almost finished it. The next following times, I got Game Over much faster.

Be careful when you take control of the regal laguz later on in the game. When they die, they'll start saying that "I'm going to get rested" or "I'm hurt pretty bad, I'm heading back." Don't believe them. To the game, they're as good as dead.

I fell for it when Naesala was defeated but said he was only going to take a break. I forgot all about it (and him) when I went into the final chapters of the game. When I beat the game and the credits rolled, it told me that he was critically wounded. Curses!

I lost Nolan a while back ago (I know... how does Nolan die?) but not resetting was the biggest mistake ever.
Honestly, I don't care if Leonardo or Edward die.

Is there a way to turn on the enemies range permanently? Or at least until I turn it off?

It's annoying having to "click" on each of them enemies to see their range.

Don't have the game near me at the moment, but I'm certain you can do it. Are you playing with the Wiimote? If you have a classic controller that's the preferred option imo. There it's just a buttonclick.

A lot of stuff is also discussed here: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=21677 afaik there are no story spoilers, but there are obviously a lot of character spoilers.

Yeah, avoiding spoiler until I play through once :)

I am using wiimote, didn't bother to buy classic controller yet.

Don't kill anyone on your team... It's a lot easier to play the game... And the enemy range you can turn for a turn as long as you don't press a button on a blank tile (No enemies, enemies range, or your teammates...)
