I just hope that people in the US pick up WKC...I know I plan to...just as I have picked up 360 JRPG's. I'm one of the smart one that supports the genre rather than a console. I think JRPG's can use all the support they can get right now.

Yeah the genre definitly needs as much support as it can get but Square Enix obviously doesn't want my money when they publish on x360 only :)

If anything 1 million first week for FFXIII would be a major disapointment. Anything much below 2 million will be actually. All FFs since VII sold 2 million or more first week in Japan.

No, 1 million first week for will be a dissapointment for the Final Fantasy series. What every other fanboy thinks about it is completely irrelevant. I'm pretty sure SE doesn't invest more money in a title to sell less...

Final Fantasy X - 1,9 mln.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 1,5 mln.
Final Fantasy XII - 1,8 mln.

SO, realistically speaking FFXIII will do 1,5-2 mln. in Japan. Over 2 mln. first week has very slim chances(depends on PS3 price).

Yes, you're right. Although X-2 is more or less a spin-off, but I think we can agree on the basis of these numbers that XIII should do above 1.5 million in order for it to be a success (Something I think is definitely possible btw).

I predict over 322k for first week sales. With 2nd and possibly the 3rd week over taking 1st week sales(slim chance but possible). LTD of 700k-1m for japan and a possible 1.6-2m WW.(depending on release date and commerical used)

For WKC? Out of the question. 322k lifetime if they're lucky. Sales don't double over first day, definitely not for RPGs. Usually about 70% of first week sales is sold day 1, and first week sales are usually around 60% of lifetime sales for RPGs in Japan.

 

 You can quote me on first week sales if you like. And i'm pretty sure that those life time sales will happen.



Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

i doubt it will sell 900k in the first week,.....i say a maximum of 750k week one for ff13

321tttrini4everz, MGS4 SOLD same as MGS2/MGS3 did in their FIRST weeks. =)

With 5 mln. PS2, FFX sold 1.9 mln.

By the end of Januray 2009, there will be around 3 mln. PS3 sold.
Till summer, it will reach 3,5 mln. and IF there will be a pricecut in Japan, it will reach 4-4,5 mln. So by the time of FFXIII release, it will easy sell 1,5 mln. first week. =)

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

This game like any JRPG these days, it will not sell outside of Japan.

I might take a look at it once it hit the bargain bin but I have too many games to buy in the next few months.

Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, The Last Remnant (it will end up selling more in America), Eternal Sonata, and Tales of Symphonia 2 (same as Last Remnant, will end up selling more in America) all disagree with you.  And do you even have a PS3? Certainly doesn't seem like it.
