Forums - Nintendo - Wow, I am beyond disappointed with Nintendo.

As for "Read the Reviews".... I've given up, for the most part, on reviews. I'm convinced Microsoft and Sony use money, advertising, and other forms of "persuasion" to get their crazy number of "10s" in so many re-packaged shooters. Nintendo games haven't exactly been well reviewed this Gen and some of them have been far better than the reviewers say...

...

Carefully doing this can help you overcome this. Reviews have value. Most reviews I read contain valuable information along with some pretty skewed opinions based on the information. Scores are then based off those opinions. Disregard the scores.

And this still doesn't speak to the fact that gameplay videos exist! There can be little bias in watching a video. (I only say little because of the endless HD video comparisons.)

Huh. I wouldn't say that Nintendo Games got burned by reviewers this gen. In the last two years, Nintendo got a lot of "GOTY"'s for Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy.

But I don't agree with american reviews pretty often these days, so I don't really care.

Reviewers used to slide some good reviews to Nintendo when Nintendo was in last place, and was cute, and not a threat. Now that they rule the universe, the bitter fanboy reviewers are trying to create an artificial resistance by pretending that everybody hates Nintendo games, but it's not working and just making them look bitter.

At least that's the case with reviewers in America. Hell, they'll even trash sports management simulation games because you don't actually play the sports. They define their own criteria differently for each review.

They're biased against handhelds too and it's hilarious. These chumps expect me to believe that there are only 5 handheld games that can break 90 out of 100 on Metacritic for this entire generation? There are 4 on DS and 1 on PSP, but I think any DS or PSP fan here knows better than these nutjobs.

Reviews are baloney.

As much of a Nintendo fan that I am I'm in the same boat as you. I'll continue to support nintendo but the wii really has nothing that I care for other than Mario and Zelda.

While, they are pretty much baloney, they are not completely useless.

Wii is not the brilliant console it could have been. Most of Wii games are really bad for many reasons, not mentioning the graphics.

The CONTROLS tend to be innacurate (including the balance board as seen in recent reviews) and tend to simplify too much the gameplay, making most games either too simple and easy or too imprecise to be enjoyed... and this kills the fun. Maybe in the following generation of consoles we can see a good motion controller that trully reproduces your moves and makes gaming more inmersive.

The LAZYNESS of ports. Too much ports of GC and DS games. The DS is just fantastic but making games in the Wii looking not a lot better than the DS counterpart is nearly insulting (AC, for example).

Anyway, thanks to huge sells companies like Capcom or Square are preparing some games that seem interesting.

Play my LittleBigPlanet level: Mystic Runner. Thanks!

This has been Nintendo's attitude this gen.

AC, MK Wii, and Zelda were all games that could easily pass for GC games, and they're some of the systems highest sellers. Zelda: TP was actually a Cube game, but was re-packaged for the Wii. It's an awesome game, as is MK Wii, but both do almost nothing as innovative as Wii Sports or Fit.

It seems Nintendo doesn't know how to change some of it's own older IPs games (save for Mario) to take advantage of the new opportunities the Wii presents.

OHHH NOOOSSSEEEE THE HORRIIIAAAAAA!!!!! Nintendo can't lose it's ONLY hugest fan?!??!! What will the other fans do?! =O
