bigjon, was Waw wii really on top 20 overall? Or just for Wii? It's really hard to believe, but I hope it's true. =)

You can believe now =)

9 of the top 20 on the Wii, 3 are third party and COD WaW becoming a hit. Yes I believe.

I think the thing I love the very most about my little white box is the way it is constantlt f*cking with its critics' minds and making them look like fools.

I know aint it great? I lol'd so hard at the IGN "We failed to kill WiiMusic article"

The Wii is at the point of no return, it could stop selling today and pretty much be a huge success (doubling is predessor already) but it for sure is going to gun for 100 million, after that I expect more but it is a bit scetchy.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Now does anyone know any numbers from NPD?

Nope, just the ranking from December. NPD puts it above Shaun White and Nerf N-Strike, which according to VGC sold a little over 300k each in December alone. That alone matches VGC's NA estimate for WaW without factoring in November launch month sales.

I wouldn't be surprised if Americas sales for CoD:WaW Wii were already gold.

If CoD:WaW on Wii manages to sell through a million copies, it'll be a huge knife in the backs of those thinking the Wii is "just for casuals." It's already vastly outsold the Call of Duty titles from the GameCube.

I think Nintendo may have been right--some of their Blue Ocean audience may be moving a little more hardcore.

To me this means one thing, Sega are the smartest third party in the world (look at their Wii line up for Q1 and Q2 2009)

This will be the year of the major support shift, very much too late might I add

WIth legs anything is possible. Remember how Boom BLox 'flopped', or how Zack and Wiki was a 'failure'?

or shaun white could be low too, a better way to do it would be to ask

what did the No. 19 un bundled game sell in NA in Dec? the answer would be somewhere between 430-450k.

The 24th place (19th after removing the bundles) sold 455k in December, according to the "monthly" feature.

Wow. That's almost the lifetime sales WW according to VGChartz.

I'm open to the possibility, but Nerf would also have to be overtracked.

Damn! What website are you getting these from? Because if that's true, then the Wii version is waaaay undertracked by this site.

It gets even richer than that. 20 of the top 30 games in December are either for the DS or Wii (Cooking Trainer at 13! Woohoo!). There's very little space left for games on non-Nintendo systems, not even third-party ones. And this is when the HD systems released their biggest guns...

http://vgchartz.com/amonthly.php

notice the no. 24 game (19th undbundle game) sold around 450k.

that would put COD:WaW Wii undertracked by a mere 270k or so in NA alone, right now it is tracing really poorly in others, makes me wonder if it is not doing better there.
