Nice new info. All of a sudden I don't feel I have time to play every MH game I have and will have in the future, but I can always try.
Waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting patiently for MH3 : p
MH3 was announced at last year's nintendo conference in october so i'm assuming its been over a year in development already..
However the question remains, how can they finish it within 2009 when its only 40% complete?
Something has to give, either content, quality, or it will slip in 2010..(personally i think it will be the latter)
The MHG move could be made to fill the void in case of a delay..or so im assuming..
In the mean time we could very well hear something about a port of MH2G.. this is capcom after all, the same company which released all resident evil games on gamecube including code veronica a remake of RE1 and RE0 in preparation of RE4.
The latter move ensured they build an extremely strong following on nintendo consoles for RE games which paid off on Wii with the RE4 port and REUC.
Capcom is a great company that almost never disappoints, case in point my personal best game of 2008 Okami.. and my absolute favourite third party publisher..check out what they have done so far on wii...
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
We Love Golf! Nintendo Wii
Okami
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes
Mega Man 9
and announced games so far
Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
Spyborgs
Monster Hunter G
Monster Hunter 3
As far as i'm concerned it craps all over other third party support on wii from a very great hight and rivals nintendo's own.. God speed capcom!

Omg, i can't wait anymore! XD
Looks awesome. I think I'll try these if they come to Europe (3 definitely will). Don't know if I like this kind of games though, it's only grinding, right? And co-op is important?
Never played a MH before, but the switch to Wii created such a hype that I think it will do much better in the West than the PS2, that was already loaded with high budget Japanese titles.
Most of items and equipments in this game drop from monsters ,herbs from gathering ,metal from mining in the field.(or from a farm you owned.)
You can buy some basic items or equipments from shop ,but for better quality equipments you gotta collect materials by yourself.
Boss monsters in MH can kill you withing few hits. You can kill them alone if you got enough experienced(which mean die again again again and again to learn their steps.)While going in a group'll be much easier ,more effective and lesser time. :D
You can see some cool clips from experienced player here if you want. XD

^ I agree it does look awesome and do these games actually follow a storyline or is it that you just play and as you get stronger you are able to access more?
Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.
@ J-Favs
From the MH games that I played in general, there really is no storyline like you would usually get in a traditional rpg. As for the Manga..that's a different story I guess lol.
Waiting...waiting...waiting...waiting patiently for MH3 : p
