Guys please stop arguing, the 100k number isnt even legit, same with the 320k number.

Yeah, Level 5 should just give up. Really, they should stop making games now. |
Nice sarcastic comment MM476 and Level 5 has always been on an awesome track record delivering a wealth of titles.
Dragon Quest VIII
Dark Cloud 2
Rogue Galaxy
Professor Layton
This is probably their first flop ever, so what. They were trying a new IP and clearly it went the wrong way. We don't know any official reviews until we get some ones we trust.
@luisgvm
Based on a new IP its good, but going with the market that's awful for a high budget game on the PS3. This game should sell at least 500k for the developer to recoup money back. And I don't see it going anywhere after Famitsu shot the hardcore PS3 audience down in Japan with a lackluster score.
@leo-j
I talking worldwide. If it gets 100k in Japan that's okay but I don't see that happening considering the hardcore audience in Japan listen to Famitsu and with that score that game isn't getting anywhere in Japan, let alone its not going to get anywhere in America or worldwide for that matter.

It was entirely sarcasm. I really like Level 5 (particularly Layton and Dark Cloud, though Rogue Galaxy was pretty meh) and have been arguing for this entire page that WKC is far from a flop, particularly compared to other JRPGs released this gen.
Maybe Im missing something, but isn't 100k, you know, good? If thats its first day then it should do at least 150 on the week which would give it one of the biggest openings of a jrpg this gen, beating out tales games and square enix games
Time for hype

I didn't realize that the entire world gaming community hinged on the judgement of Famitsu. I should start reading them probably.....
...
Ugh mrstickball get out of this thread now =p!!
100k first day is good for me but not great and for sure not bad ^^'.
And oh please stop with the userbase/attach rate shit. We had plenty of threads already that userbase doesn't mean much and I thought was Shams who made a thread about it aswell where he pointed out that games as MGS3 and GT4 sold lower on a bigger userbase then their predecessors on a lower userbase.

exactly thats what i say i think that 100,000k first day is good for a new ip and if what people are saying is true about the shippment being sold out then that means that WKC have a big demand by the people and we are going to see a good first week.
