IU is actually Microsoft's IP, Tri-Ace developed it, and Square Enix co-published it with Microsoft... So this game is a 1st party title...

Everyone on Japanese gaming forums are saying the game is very short, rubbish and that is about it. MS are rubbing against the right company ie SE whereas Sony have gone for the wrong devs ie L5.

360 got SO4 and this little game called FFXIII, multi-plat yes but big....YES. Sony should have used the money spent on WKC to keep FFXIII exclusive, would have got more sales anyway.

Yes, but FF13 and SO4 haven't released yet. IU and TLR just were not very good.

Cmon guys dont u think u little harsh on the game ? I saw the streaming
and the game looked so fine to me a Truly JRPG ! with nice graphic
and nice battle system and great sound track !

So I think this game is going to sell well in JP & NA cuz the PS3 need a JRPG
( dont tell me VC ) we dont have any .. Only Eternal Sonata
So when this game hit the stores I'm going to buy it and I'm sure every
RPG Gamer well buy this game even if the reviews from the sites were bad .

Its actually interesting to not that th 100k first day was a pretty high sellthrough of the initial shipment (70-75%?) And that retailers are now requesting second shipment by the weekend to prevent mass sellout (currently only selective). This is pretty odd considering this is the biggest PS3 blockbuster since MGS for Japan...

My original prediction was 200k-250k first week... this might still be achievable (albeit at the lower 200k end) but I must say that I am a bit dissapointed in the first day sale. I was expecting 150k shifted, which incidently would have been more than the entire shipment and obviously impossible.

The sellthrough was only 54% and the game is not even sold out at Amazon Japan. Still, concerning sellthrough the best selling game yesterday.
