Probably Gran Turismo 5 once its out
If it has to be a game thats out now then Oblivion. You can get massive hours out of that game. Once you beat it you start a new game as a different character type.

Even if I have been free from wow for few years it is the only logical choice for me. MMOPRG enough said.
World of Warcraft
I absolutely detest the game, and try to stay as far away from it as possible, but am fully aware that it's got more stuff to do than probably any other game. Also, it keeps evolving, and playing with different people is a different ezperience.
