Forums - Nintendo - Monster Hunter G ported to Wii... Famitsu Scan...

I'd buy it if it comes here.

I see this thread as more of wii owners going nutz over a port of a game that is Very dated. not to mention the fact that it hasn't been anounce for anywhere other then japan.

I see this thread as more of PS3 owners going nutz over a port of a game who's sequel isn't going to the PS3 like it once was, and as such they're dedicated to damage controlling it any way they can.

ROFFLE at trolls trying to damage control MH3 with PSP. MHG has nothing to do with PSP, you don't port a PS2 game to Wii to "test" a Wii port to a portable that they already denied.

PSP might get a Freedom 3, but it won't be as good as MH3, and it probably won't even have the new features. Get over it.

What? The portable versions of MH are MUCH better than the console versions. Why in the world would that change?

I agree. They want to see how the Wii fanbase will take into Monster Hunter.

Ok, so let me try to get this straight...

Now, Capcom has a game coming out late next year/early2010 that they have put a LOT of time and money into. A game that is a first on the system that it is on. Let me ask you, reader, which scenario seems wiser:

A. Release the game into the wild with some advertising and hope for the best.

B. Port an older game in the series to the council in question to build up hype and, hopefully a fanbase, before the release of your big game. Then release the game into the wild.

How any of you can try to spin this into as anything other than Capcom trying to get more sales for MH3 is beyond me. Greed? Of course they are greedy, they are a business, businesses are greedy, that's how they remain afloat. Laziness? Seems it would be MORE lazy NOT to release the port. Wouldn't you agree?

I'd guess it could change because they seem to be actually testing the Wii somewhat.

From the looks of it the PSP port may need to be downgraded....

vs the MH PS2 games which didn't really push anything.

Eh either way it's kinda a pointless.

Well....there's definitely going to be people who haven't bought this game. Also, look at all those remakes that SE makes and still sell...of course this'll sell.

why can't you guys admit it's just developers being greedy?

could also just be developers finding the easiest way to make up for all their HD games that havent made as much profit as they would have liked.

so its not about money then. And stop assuming, my comment was only meant for the wii. The wii is not the only consoles that gets ports, and i like the wii.

what i meant was: greed doesn't necessarily have to be the only reason for ports. HD console development isn't as profitable as some companies would like. porting stuff to Wii may be their easiest way to get the profits that weren't made from HD titles.

also you are talking about Wii when you're posting in a thread in the Nintendo board about a game being ported to the Wii. if you're going to talk about ports in general then say so. otherwise people will assume it's about the topic.

I don't mind, especially if they are more greedy and localize it here, along with Capcom Vs that anime company, and they port RE5 to the Wii (I can get it on the 360, but I prefer the precision of the Wiimote).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
